                                                    Haflinger Horses

We grew up with the Haflinger horse in Germany and they are native to Switzerland, Germany and Holland. They are one of the most versetile horse
breeds and are used for logging, farming, driving in pleasure and competition,
can be ridden by kids and adults and are being used in dressage and jumping.
One horse, although technically in pony size that can do it all.

They are ALWAYS chestnut, which can be almost as light as palomino to a dark
chestnut and always have a white mane and tail. Size if a proper Haflinger
(not American elite Haflinger) ranges from 13hh to 14.2hh. Slightly drafty build,
with a fine head, solid feet and a good, willing disposition.

They are an excellent all around family horse that wants to spend time with his
people and will try just about anything for you to please. A well socialized and
trained Haflinger is a pleasure to have for the whole family. You can see more
of them at sleigh rallies, parades and at driving competitions with the Alberta Carriage Driving events in the future, as they are maturing and being trained.

We are also trying to get a Club started and you can find our Facebook group
under "Western Canada Haflinger Club"

Do to illness, we have stopped our breeding program. The stallion was sold and we  have two more foals this year, two fillies, but no more after that. We wish you best of luck if you are looking for one of these amazing horses!
